Il tombe amoureux de l&rsquo;Alhambra de Grenade. Il fait deux s\u00e9jours \u00e0 Grenade :  le premier du 8 au 20 mai 1828 (il loge alors \u00e0 l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel Fonda del Comercio) et le second pendant plusieurs semaines \u00e0 partir de d\u00e9but mai 1829. Il demeure alors dans l&rsquo;endroit de ses r\u00eaves : l&rsquo;Alhambra, avec son ami le prince russe Dolgorouki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;Alhambra d&rsquo;alors est peupl\u00e9 de vagabonds et voyageurs divers et vari\u00e9s. Th\u00e9ophile Gautier aura lui aussi la chance d&rsquo;y passer quelques nuits.
